Quoits
How To Play
*There are many versions of quoits set up, and gameplay may vary.
Setup
Stakes (Hobs) are set up 21 feet apart.
Opponents throw from behind the same stake, playing 1 v 1 or 2 v 2
A flip of a quoit decides who throws first, with the round side being heads and the flat side being tails.
Gameplay
Players alternate turns throwing the quoits.
The losing player/team decides who throws first in the next round
Games are played to 21 with no bust rule in effect.
Scoring
1 point is awarded for each quoit closer to the hob than the opponent
2 points are awarded for each leaner. Any touching of the hob by a quoit counts as a leaner
3 points are awarded for each ringer.
Cancellation scoring is in effect.
Winner is the first to reach 21 points.
